Product Overview
The FireGene Fast Mutagenesis Kit is a site-directed mutagenesis system based on our rapid cloning technology. Using this kit, the target plasmid amplification product is be retreived by gel or DpnI digestion, the site-directed mutagenesis can be accomplished by direct transformation after recombination circularization. The kit consists of two modules: the Max Master Mix Amplification Module and the Rapid Cloning Module. The ultra-high fidelity of Max Master Mix significantly reduces the possibility of introducing new mutations during the amplification process, and it is conducive to the complete degradation of the original methylated template due to the extremely low amount of template used. Its excellent ability to amplify long fragments is widely applicable to the amplification of any plasmids less than 20 kb in length. The rapid cloning system utilizes an efficient homologous recombination reaction, so that when the site-directed mutagenesis kit performs DNA site-directed mutagenesis, the linearized PCR product can be efficiently circularized, which is beneficial to transform the host and improve the mutation efficiency.
