Transfer Buffer (Semi Dry) Powder (1 L of 1x)

FireGene Transfer Buffer (Semi Dry) Powder (1 L of 1x) consists of Tris, Glycine, and SDS in white to off-white instant granules. Each pouch can be diluted to 1 L 1x transfer buffer, in which the concentration of Tris is 48 mM, the concentration of Glycine is 39 mM and the concentration of SDS is 0.04%. This product is Premixed with SDS for large or hydrophobic proteins and it is suitable for Western Blot semi-dry electrophoresis. This product provides a convenient way to make transfer buffer and eliminates the need to weigh and mix individual components.

Instructions

1. Add 1 pouch of powder into the cleaned beaker, dissolve with 600 mL distilled water under a magnetic stirrer.
2. Add 200 mL methanol to the solution in step 1, and then add distilled water until the total volume is 1 L. The final solution is 1x transfer buffer.

Note : The newly prepared 1x transfer buffer can be stored for 2 weeks at room temperature.
