Product Introduction
The BCA protein assay is one of the most widely used methods for protein quantification. Developed based on the BCA (Bicinchoninic Acid) method, this product enables rapid, stable, and sensitive protein concentration determination. The assay relies on the principle that, under alkaline conditions, peptide bonds within protein molecules chelate with Cu²⁺ ions to form a complex, simultaneously reducing Cu²⁺ to Cu⁺. BCA reagents then bind sensitively and specifically to Cu⁺, forming a stable, colored complex that exhibits high absorbance at 562 nm. As the intensity of the color is directly proportional to the protein concentration, the protein content can be determined based on the measured absorbance. This kit includes a series of ready-to-use protein standard solutions (BSA) that require no dilution, offering convenience and efficiency.
