RNA Extraction Kits
RNA is the least forgiving molecule in the lab. DNA sits in a tube for weeks. RNA starts degrading the moment the cell is disrupted — and unlike a failed PCR, degraded RNA won't give you an error message. It will give you results that look fine until they don't replicate.
This collection covers spin-column RNA purification kits across the sample types that differ most in extraction chemistry: fresh tissue and cells, FFPE specimens, and liquid samples.
Tissue and cultured cells The Tissue RNA Extraction Kit uses silica-membrane purification with an integrated DNase step to deliver total RNA suitable for RT-qPCR, RNA-Seq, and microarray. Optimized lysis conditions balance complete cell disruption against RNA degradation — the tradeoff that most generic protocols get wrong on fibrous or dense tissues.
FFPE samples Formalin fixation cross-links RNA to protein and fragments it over time. Standard extraction protocols recover a fraction of what's actually present. The FFPE RNA Extraction Kit uses a dedicated deparaffinization and decrosslinking protocol to reverse formaldehyde modifications before column purification — recovering usable RNA fragments down to the size range required for RT-qPCR and targeted NGS panels.
Downstream compatibility All kits deliver DNase-treated, inhibitor-free RNA compatible with one-step and two-step RT-qPCR, RNA-Seq library preparation, and hybridization-based assays. A260/A280 ratios ≥1.8 in standard tissue inputs.
